- As far as we know, we have the only fish foot spa in Surrey! This traditional Turkish therapy is now available in our Warlingham salon. Just rest your hands or feet in the warm water, and the little garra rufa fish will gently nibble away any dry or dead skin cells, leaving you with soft and healthy skin.
- This totally natural exfoliation is ideal for anyone with eczema, psoriasis, calluses or arthritis, and anyone who wants soft feet and hands.
- About Ichthyotherapy
We use about 150 minnow-size garra rufa fish, also known as Doctor Fish, from the hot srpings of Kangal in Turkey. About 10cm long, they are tiny toothless carp that gently suck away the outer layer of dry and dead skin leaving healthy skin untouched and your feet or hands soft and pampered. It is also believed that an enzyme in the fish saliva has an effect on skin. - Health and hygiene
- We pre-rinse your feet, then you enjoy your own dedicated footbath with a state-of-the-art filtration system (for the health of our clients and our fishes!). For hygiene purposes, the water is sterilised every 10 minutes using UV light.
- The therapy lasts 15-30 minutes, and is followed by a foot massage, finishing with a nail trim and polish if required.
